Visited restaurant Frankie’s køkken at Admiralsgade on Monday this week and was positively surprised to find such a good food at reasonable price in location with a short walking distance from my apartment. Had Grilled Veal Tongue as a starter and it was served with pumpkin and a bit spicy chicken stock and some nuts. A very nice dish with pumpkin being in the season now with different flavours and textures nicely balanced. Main course was Pork Cheeks and the level of great cooking just continued there. Cheeks were just as tender and braised for hours as they should be served with a pure of potato different kind of braised onions and nice foam flavoured with liquorice. For desert had 3 kinds of different cheese served with prunes and olive compote and a glass of very nice desert wine. One great note about the restaurant is that they serve freshly baked warm bread which was also worth mentioning.
Service was nice and prompt and the waiters very helpful and up to the task. Absolutely a place to visit again and will bring my wife there next time she is here. Many interesting dishes still shouting to this direction come back, come back……
